Sorry to resurrect this topic but I'm having a lot of the same issues you two have had. I, being stupid, went and did the firmware updates and now the locks are acting up (falling "asleep" and only working when I "wake them" via the August app).
Is the only way to make them work putting them on their own hub by themselves? Would that work with 4 as opposed to 1 (I notice that @bjcowles mentioned a single lock on a C-3)? I do have an old C-5 I guess I could try that with. That would put me at 3 hubs (C-5, C-7, and C-8) though.
