Audio/Video receiver control/support

I see on the list of compatible devices it shoulds AVR from Denon, Pioneer, Onkyo etc. Just curious if anyone has one of these integrated, and if so to what extent does it integrate?

Are you able to control streaming audio if the device supports it like a sonos integration?

Hi Bludott,

I have this setup for my Pioneer receiver, I have a power plug for my tv and when the Tv draws power I have my receiver turn on. You can also control the volume and AV selection.

Found this documentation for the Pioneer stuff

https://arnowelzel.de/en/control-av-receivers-by-pioneer-over-the-network

That may help get you started, but it looks more to be controlling the receiver, not listening to it

Edit
This link has actual examples:

thanks for that feedback

On the question of receiver, what about Yamaha, I don't see it as compatible device. Anyone has successfully integrated with HE? Thanks

So I have my Pioneer vsx832 set up, and it has integrated power, volume, and input selection. As it also has Chromecast built in, you can send TTS events to it as well via the Chromecast app, although unless your already in Chromecast mode, it takes too long to switch over and connect. I don't think there's a way to automate things like playlists or tracks, which would be the icing on the cake. Press a button and it plays you favorite Spotify list? I would love that. If anyone has unlocked this secret please let me know.

I did have to use the Onkyo driver to get it to work though
