Getting ready to set a friend up on HE. He has Att servive with a BGW210-700 router/modem. I have not seen this unit yet. Can I assume I can access settings and reserve IP etc?
I'm thinking someone here has one.

Yes you can. It doesn't matter to HE but i don't believe you can change DNS settings. I learned that AFTER setting up Pi-Hole on a Pi Zero. I use a mesh wifi router now so don't need the BWG's DNS settings anymore.

Just need to take a picture of the login password on the router to access the settings.

I have that modem and honestly, do your friend a favor and get them a real router to put behind it. The management of the Arris is HORRID. Once you throw it into passthru mode though, the thing rocks.

Yes, passthru works great. Did that as soon as it was installed.
