Aqara recently (today) released the firmware update that exposes their water leak sensors via matter from their M2 hub. The issue is when it is brought into Hubitat is shows as a "Generic Component Contact Sensor" and that is the driver that is installed. It shows either open or closed state instead of wet or dry. If you complete the circuit it will show closed.
You can change the driver to a "Generic Component Water Sensor" but then it still only shows as if it is an open or closed state and it will no longer toggle to closed if you complete the circuit.
This makes them unusable in this state in HPM for water monitoring as it won't recognize them in the water sensor list if you have the contact sensor driver. It will if you change it to the water sensor driver but again they won't work.
Is there a workaround for this I am not thinking about or is there any plans on the Hubitat side to make the hubs recognize them correctly and incorporate them in as water leak sensors?
Yeah the M3 got it about two weeks ago. The firmware update for my M2 that I have came out yesterday. I downloaded the firmware update and it brought the sensors into HE but they are showing up as contact sensors like I stated above with the open and close state. Not water sensors with wet and dry state and they won't work in HSM like I stated above. If you change the driver to "Generic Component Water Sensor" the indicator still shows contact and says open. Then when you complete the circuit of course the state will not change it stays open. When you switch back to the contact sensor driver then it will toggle between open and closed when you use a piece of wire to complete the circuit.
That was my question is will there be any updates to HE to make them show as water leak sensors with the proper states so they will work in HSM and similar apps.

Also, something else you guys are probably already aware of. The Aqara T1 Water Valve soles over in Matter as well but it shows up as a switch not a valve. I couldn't get it to pull up in HSM either. I don't know if this can be addressed as I think Aqara actually shows it as a switch in their app. If there is something that can be done that would be great.
