I have installed an Aqara U100 Lock and bound it to my M2 Aqara hub. My M2 Aqara hub is connected to HE via matter. I have several devices working perfectly. However, when I go into my M2 hub inside HE and hit configure the U100 lock never shows up in my device list.
Does anyone have one of these locks connected via Matter on an M2? Is it that the M2 doesn't show the lock via matter? Would the M3 hub show it? Does HE just not recognize the lock?
Matter locks aren't currently supported via built-in Matter integration or built-in Matter bridge, but they are on the priority list of future updates.
@bobbyD so I make sure I understand. It has been a long day.
The reason I can't see the device in my device list is because they are not currently supported, not because I am doing something wrong. Is the correct?
Then later HE will make updates for supporting it then I will be able to bring it in. Correct?
If that is correct that is no problem I just wanted to make sure I understand.
For anyone else that might have been wanting to link the unlocking of the lock to turning on the room lights below is what I have done for now.
I have an empty channel on an Aqara T2 relay that isn't being used. I wrote an automation in the Aqara app to turn the relay channel on when the lock is unlocked. Then wrote a rule in HE when the relay channel is turned on to turn on the room lights. Then wait 5 seconds and turn the relay channel back off. It isn't as seamless as when the matter integration happens but it is a pretty decent workaround for now. It works.
