Aqara Matter G3 Matter Hub Joined to Hubitat

I have an Aqara G3 hub running the latest firmware and Hubitat C7 with matter enabled. The G3 joined hubitat via matter without issue, but only joins as type "Device". How do I get the devices that are on the G3 to be exposed to the hubitat as devices (the G3 acts as a thread bridge for Zigbee devices)? I can't seem to find any tutorials on this. Is this even possible right now?

The Aqara hub is a Matter bridge, and no built-in drivers on Hubitat currently exist for Matter bridge devices. (There is no technical reason for this; it can work, but it's just that individual "real" Matter drivers were prioritized first.)

In the meantime, you may find community options that work. I am only aware of one but do not want to specifically recommend any option over another should multiple ones exist. You do not necessarily need one specifically for this device, as Matter bridges can report their different "endpoints" to the hub/controller, which a smart enough driver on the hub can create different types of child devices for without it needing to know much about the possible gamut of such devices (beyond the fact that it does need to be able to match them, too, up with some driver).

I have an Aqara M3 hub that I am messing around with to try out some Aqara devices and to see how well the Aqara M3 hub behaves as a Matter Bridge. I am using @kkossev's community Advanced Matter Bridge integration. It works very well during my testing.

OK, I saw this, then installed it, but never attempted to use it after reading the documentation because it was saying it was made for specific brand hub. I'll put it back in place and update the driver type for my hub to this hub.

Yeah, so that just worked. That should be rebranded because I went for that before coming here and the docs really didn't seem like it was for my use case. I marked your reply as the solution. Thanks for taking the time to help sort me out!

Glad to hear that it is working for you as well! The true thanks go to @kkossev!
