Good news! The latest firmware update for the M3 hub now supports Aqara water leak sensors over matter. I have several connected to my M3 hub and they now show up and function properly in Hubitat.
Had to change the device type from a Generic Component Contact Sensor to Generic Component Water Sensor.
In addition to the water leak sensors, Aqara also enabled smoke detectors and the air quality sensor. For those using the built-in Matter bridge integration, the water leak sensors currently show as contact sensors and there are no component drivers for the smoke or air quality. Our engineers will address these in a future update.
