Aqara is showing a battery powered presence sensor…

… at CES. Will be interesting to see how long the batteries last once it comes to market.

For those who are interested, here are more details:

The FP300 is battery powered; supports Zigbee and Thread and is Matter enabled. This could be a game changer vis-a-vis presence sensors.

I watched a few YouTubers comment on the new sensor. Can't wait to get ahold of one and hope a proper integration into HE will be done so all capabilities can be harnessed. Any word on the US release date yet? Or pricing especially??? Still wish Aqara would make the FP2 Matter enabled with it's zoning capabilities. The power of those two sensors working together... :scream:

Is this it on AliExpress?

No, this is their old PIR motion sensor.

I am still waiting for FP300 to appear on AE 'night stores'...

In looking at the description more closely it seems it won't have zones. So while the battery option is very nice, it isn't what I'm looking for.

No zones are announced for FP300.

Might be released soon!

I looked at it, and multi-function seems interesting, and hopefully, they have the ghost issue solved. One thing I didn't see was the ability to set zones like the FP2. Any idea if the FP300 will have zones?
