Aqara and worked on C7 Will not work on C8 Older devices

Apparently there is a problem with certain Aqara/Tuya devices.
I myself experienced the same issue with my Aqara temperature/humidity sensors.

No fix as of yet, I actually replaced everything Aqara with Sonoff. No issues with those and C8

Nope. The driver IS working, it recognizes the sensor however the sensor drops from the network in less than 10 sec. I believe it has something to do with the C8 as the sensors work on the C7 with the same software version.

Just an interesting observation... I have one remote switch which started consistently dropping. This, I guessed, was due to a nearby IKEA repeater which was having trouble talking to the hub on occasion (who knows why this started happening, perhaps the neighbours have bought a new wireless doodad).
