I've been running my C-5 for a number of years. And, I've introduced some controls to Apple Home to make things easier for my wife. I launched the app and something has changed.
I launched the app & see message that "no Hub(s) found for:" appears.
I clicked the green bar labeled "Go to Get Started" which sends me to findmyhub.hubitat page...it sees my hub.
I click on my hub and have the access that I expect to have on the app.
How do I get my app to recognize the hub. I hope that I am using the right terms, because my searches for a fix have led to a lot of useless stuff.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah...
version 2.4.0.151
39 devices - mostly Zigbee, some Z-wave
Same network. No VPN or anything exotic. Have a few unmanaged switches scattered around. But, nothing has changed on the network in maybe a year. I’m thinking a recent updated messed it up. Maybe my hub is getting old?
Apple iPad OS# 18.3.1
Hubitat app is the newer version 2.4.0.151
iPod app is no longer seeing the Hubitat C-5 hub. It was working just fine the last time I used it...maybe 2 weeks ago. My automations still work. A few months ago I added a few things to the Apple Home ecosystem to make things easier for my wife - control sunroom lights, control family room lamps, alerts for leaks & open garage door. Apple still interacts with Hubitat. I just can't see the hub on the iPad app. I've power cycled iPad and Hubitat, reinstalled app on the pad, and checked status on the Nighthawk router.
iPad and iPhone are on the same network with the Hubitat. The app does not work on either of my Apple devices. iPad only works on the network; and, I've tried the iPhone on and off the network with no changes. The only way I can control Hubitat is outside the app; I can do this from the iPad or iMac. I have not tried it on my phone, but I expect similar results.
I just checked the apps on iPhone settings - Hubitat app shows as version 1.0.2 build 1.
That's the old legacy app which is not supported anymore.
Go to the app store and install the new app, you can leave the old one installed for now but you will have two different apps with different icons temporarily.
I think I found the problem. During Covid my PayPal account was hacked & I got no help from them, so I killed the email address associated with that account. It was the same one associated with the Hubitat. I asked Hubitat but they could not change the email address; so, I added the new one as an approved user & made it admin and everything worked. I think the latest update hosed that situation.
