Apollo Fan Coil Thermostat Support

Hi Everyone,
110-240V fan coil unit smart thermostats that support both heating and cooling are extremely rare... so rare in fact I have only seen one on the market that came out last year. Apollo FCU Thermostat Spec Sheet I was wondering if there is anyway I can integrate this into my hubitat setup? Primarily I want them to be able to talk to each other (when two thermostats are in the same room), turn on and off manually through routines, and use other temperature sensors to determine zone temperature instead of only directly at the thermostat. The only other option would be to install 24v relays and transformers at each convector and install ecobee that I rather not do.

Thanks and appreciate any advice!

Does it have an open API? That could be used to develop a Hubitat device driver, and would be the most reliable way to integrate it.

This is all the documentation I've found so not sure... I am trying to get in touch with the company directly to see.

Not sure how accurate their response is but they said it only supports modbus tcp and he doesn't believe there currently is an open API. Is modbus controllable using hubitat?

Edit: also looks like it supports BACnet MSTP and BACnet IP. Uses the Myhouse Pro App and potentially supports control 4.

Edit 2: I found a HA thread for the MC6 which I think is the same exact hardware here: MC6 Thermostat - #315 by fabyano - Third party integrations - Home Assistant Community

This is exactly what I did as soon as we moved in apartment with Fancoil HAVAC
system. And I am very happy with what I did.

I don’t think so? But I’m not a developer so probably can’t answer very definitively.

Did you do it yourself? I'm having a hard time getting an electrician to do it. Did you install both a relay and a transformer? Ecobee seems it needs both because of the power draw.

Yes, DIY. The control box of my fancoil system actually had/have enough space and
even a place holders for the transformer and 5 relays. Yes, you will need a 40W
transformer and 5 relays. One relay for Heating, one for Cooling and in my case
3 relays for fan motor speed control. Ecobee Thermostat is capable to deal with
all 3 motor speeds and does a very nice job.
