API for Device tags and Device notes

Rats. I have thought about using the Maker API to make myself a nice list of all of my devices, broken down by room. I'd love to be able to include battery information (as in CR2025, CR123A, etc) so that I could generate two things:

  • A count of how many spare batteries I need on hand broken down by battery type and.
  • A room by room "checklist" that includes which batteries I'll need, so when I go do a yearly battery change, I know what to bring and can keep track of things.

This workaround effectively bridges the Rule Machine bug by linking a Pushable Button to a Momentary Button Device, allowing seamless rule execution. Well-explained setup!
