AOETEC Siren 6 - Random Sounds

Hi, looks like there's something going on with the Siren 6 playing sounds on Hubitat. Whenever I trigger a sound "single bell ting", looks like the sound is played more than once and sometimes, strangely a random sound other than the one I selected is played.

Not sure if the device is processing the messages wrongly in the driver, but that seems to be the case somehow. Am I the only one facing this?

My siren's firmware is on 1.05.

Is this a recent thing? Was it ok previously? Have you changed out the batteries?

I moved the device farther in the mesh, other than that it is USB powered. Could it be receiving the “commands” more than once and somehow playing it “many times”?

When it was closer in the mesh to the hub (less hops), it used to behave like that “rarely”. But it didn’t disturb me that much as it is now.

How does your mesh look? Have you tried placing a repeater between the hub and the siren?

to add to @jameslslate 's comment, have you run a z-wave repair?

So, I have here at home many z-wave powered switches and motion sensors that are repeaters, but the hub is not in a central spot. I’m suspecting that an old zwave relay device that I have (prior to 500 series) is blowing up my network somehow. I’m now trying to use the Zwave mesh details app and I’m not enjoying what I am seeing in terms of latency and errors. In any case I would have expect the siren not playing any sound due to message loss and not strangely playing random sounds sometimes or playing sounds more than once with only one trigger event… I’m still evaluating what is going on…

All my issues were solved after repairing the Siren using S2 protocol. No change in device's location...
