I’m not seeing much traffic on Hermes, here, or on their sub-reddit.

Is anyone using it for home security?

If you are, some pointers would be appreciated.

For example, where can I find information on setting up Hermes to operate more like a traditional alarm system?

I have the basic app installed, but with my current alarm, I can do things like:

  • Arm system with a 60 second countdown when I leave the house.
  • Disarm system within a specific window when I come home.
  • View the alarm status via a display (home, away, etc).
  • Set modes such as home, away.
  • etc.

Are these types of things available? And, if so, where can I find more information?

I moved this from Built-in apps to custom apps, since Hermes isn’t a built in app.

I use Noonlight, which is what Hermes uses. It works well.
