Anyone know if a Segway Navimow integration is available or in the works?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of our talented community developers are looking into or currently working on a native driver/integration for the Segway Navimow robotic lawn mowers?

It is my understanding that Segway officially opened up development earlier this year by releasing their official open-source Python SDK/navimow-sdk and an official Home Assistant integration. The API utilizes an MQTT backend structure for live status updates and states.

While I know we can bridge it over from Home Assistant via HADB, it would be great to have a native driver running directly on our hubs.

Does anyone know if anyone is currently exploring this or interested in taking a look at the SDK blueprint to bring native Navimow control to Hubitat? If I had the talent, I would dive in, but sadly that is over my head.

Thanks!

Does the device speak MQTT natively? If so, you could try the new MQTT Import Integration on your hub (with or without a third-party broker; the hub can run one if you can't).

To add to what @bertabcd1234 wrote, many users have found AI tools to be useful in creating new drivers. You might want to give that a whirl.

From my research it does not appear to do so natively, but I’m going to look more in to it. Thank you.

Yeah, I was starting to look more in to seeing what AI could do. But was crossing my fingers that something was in the works already. Thank you.
