I've struggled and failed to get ZigBee and/or Zwave down to a driveway gate about 550' (Through woods) from my C7.
To trigger the gate, I ended up running a POE switch to an outdoor POE switch to an outdoor WAP to a Shelly 1 wifi relay. This works and all but Id like to have other devices down by the gate like a mailbox sensor, package box sensor, ZigBee landscape lights.
Since I have all the POE stuff outside, I can run another 200 ft and have Ethernet at the gate relay box. I'm thinking I can add another hub there to get some coverage.
Anyone have a spare hub on the shelf they're looking to sell?
