So while you are already standing in front of the light switch, you can ask Alexa to turn on the light for you? 
Seriously though, I do wonder how its microphone (and to a lesser extent its speaker) compares to dedicated Echo devices.

One for the "been there, done that" department:
While it worked well to use Alexa, the rest of the switch+ was a total failure. Ecobee hoped that it could work as a temperature sensor, but ultimately found that sensor to be too sensitive to individual installations.

I don't think this is new. Leviton has been advertising their Gen2 WiFi devices for a couple years... This says 1st Gen...?
