I have LG C8 OLED TV . I use it mostly to watch videos on USB storage, Netflix and Disney.. all from the TV's own apps. Is there a way to know when I paused my movie turn get my lights to turn on?
I think that would require setting up Home Assistant, connecting the TV to HA, linking Hubitat, sharing a virtual switch from HE to HA, and setting up an automation on HA to turn the switch on or off depending on the state of the TV. That’s what I did with our Vizio TV to automate the lights in the family room.
Can the thinkq app help here in some way?
I don’t see where anyone has recently been able to make an LG integration work on HE. It looks like there is a LG TV integration for Homebridge that’s being kept updated if you are able to go that route. I know that there’s also an LG integration listed in HA, but I don’t have an LG TV to see how functional either of these integrations are.
