Any suggestions for battery operated closet lighting?

I've been looking all morning for a product that will work for this, you guys might already have something to suggest so I thought I'd ask.

I'd like to put in some motion sensor lights for our closets. Problem is, we're not in a position to be wiring new lights in new locations, so we need some sort of battery operated light. The ones I'm finding are mostly nightlights, so they don't put out enough light, and I also can't tell what technology they're using like zigbee or zwave.

Any suggestions? I do have some iris motion sensors I can use for that part of it, I just need to find lights.

Thanks!

This one. Awesome little light. I put some half dead batteries in it months ago just to test. Left them, and it's still working. Has a light sensor too, so if there's enough ambient light, they don't turn on.

Not connected, but for the purpose, it doesn't need to be.

I've been using https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J4EQVPG or similar and eneloop rechargeable batteries with good success. It's placed on top of the trim on top of the door. Also using for inside mailbox. As was said by @SmartHomePrimer, I'm not bothering to hook it into automations.

I use these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D5X11TT

Nice, bright lights. It's easy to put the strips where you need them. They last a long time on a charge and recharge quickly. For the closets where I use them, automation would be overkill. The motion/illumination detectors on these work just fine.

Thanks everyone, looks like integration might be a little overkill. New user here, so I feel like I must integrate all the things!

I must've missed the memo. Don't we? In some way, shape, or form? Even though it's not connected, I would consider it automated if it provides something that becomes effortless for us. Just feeding that addiction all the time. Welcome to the rabbit hole!

I use the same as jabecker but I use the 64 LED ones. I bought one for a closet my wife uses and then had to buy 3 more, 2 more for the wife and 1 for the mother-in-law. They range from 8 to 64 LEDs, I believe.

I need a small coat closet battery operated light. Motion sensor will not work well, So looking for one with a door switch. Anytime the door is open the light is on.

The ones I use (see above) are actually on a 3' strip. You can stick the strip anywhere you need the lights to shine. The motion detector uses a magnet to attach to a little metal disk you stick on near the strip.

I have these strips in my bedroom closets, a linen closet, and a pantry. The motion detectors have a fairly wide angle, and are usually triggered by simply opening the doors. The bedroom closets have bi-fold doors, and the other two have regular doors.

I also have two more like what @CAZ linked to. One is used to illuminate the floor of one of the bedroom closets, where I keep shoes. The other is used as an under-counter light in my laundry room. The motion detectors on those also work very well. In the laundry room, it often comes on if I just walk past the door. The closet comes on when the door is opened.

I "automated" the light in my laundry room with something like this:

It's a tiny room with one bare bulb in a fixture in the ceiling. I'm only ever moving when I'm in there. Seemed silly to spend more.

Moral of the story: The more complicated (or expensive) solution isn't always the best one.

One thing I forgot to mention in my reply is that we use smaller OxyLED in part because it's not too bright. It gives me enough light to see when it's still dark out without waking up my wife. YMMV.

How about something like this? Put a connected bulb in it or use a connected plug...
