I finished installing my recessed Singled lights yesterday. My wife “took control” and I have created a monster.... now she wants to put rgbw bulbs in the dining room. The chandelier uses E12 bases and I am trying to find a HE compatible solution while I have the opportunity. Any ideas?
Definitely available as Hue bulbs.
I haven’t dealt with HUE. Will they connect native zigbee or do you have to have a HUE hub?
I don't know about specific bulbs, but in general, the recommendation is to put Hue bulbs that works as zigbee repeaters on the Hue hub.
Thanks. They are proud of those bulbs at $50 a piece. The fixture has 8 bulbs. $400 bucks in bulbs is a bit much. I think I will install some cans and get 4 recessed sengled or sylvania lights. I can do that for less than $150.

to that. Get the Sengleds. They don't function as zigbee repeaters; as a consequence, don't cause issues to the zigbee mesh. Just search this community for the number of people whose zigbee meshes were messed up by bulbs functioning as zigbee repeaters.

Not sure how often you might want each bulb a different color, or how much you might want to control from elsewhere (or via Rule). If those are minimal... You could always look at getting more "normal" RGBW E12 bulbs that use RF and a little remote. Probably be cheaper, but obviously makes it more limited (but may be fine for your needs).

While not Hubitat compatible, I recently picked some RGBW E12 bulbs on Amazon for around $10 apiece. They're wifi and controlled with Alexa via the Smartlife app.
Wife loves them and they work well.
