Hubitat used to provide podcasts in the past, which I found quite informative. I wondered if anyone would be interested in contributing to a user podcast? I am always bumping into new things on the forum and wishing I had learned about them before. Summarizing this knowledge and highlighting it would be fun and hopefully useful. If you are interested let me know and maybe we can pull something together. I have no experience with podcasts, other than listening to them, so any prior experience would be great!
Yes, I'd be interested. I always thought questions on the forum would be a ready source of topics for discussion/instruction. Particularly if you used the more interesting questions to show viewers how to solve the problems in multiple ways.
I enjoyed those as well and would listen to a revived version.
I first read this as Any interest in a Hubitat user protest, and I was about to get my popcorn.
I’d listen
Interested. I would be willing to contribute behind the scenes - script, editing, etc. My wife and I can contribute to audio/video editing.
Regardless, I'd listen. More interested in practical and creative solutions and applications.
I would definitely check it out.
I think the hard part was something like this is you can't show images of rules or other automations in a verbal podcast, so how do you bridge the gap between discussions about things you do in the actual boots on the ground work on it.
I guess maybe you'd have a podcast topic (in the Lounge?) where you could provide visual content and links to other existing content?
youtube podcast?
I’d probably listen
I would absolutely listen to this!
I suspect it would be a lot of work, finding topics, writing, figuring out what to write vs share « off the cuff »… and all while sounding good. And I think having good chemistry between the hosts will be very important.
I did radio in my younger days - loved it! But we didn’t script anything back then, and it was live, so no editing!
