Any (easy?) way to push a message to a display/projection/something?

Is there any type of device that works with Hubitat that I could trigger to display something?

I see random talks of dashboards, converting echo show etc...

I was thinking/hoping maybe there is an e-ink/e-paper display that would work that could display content on demand? One such example is on Mondays at 6am, update it with "Take garbage out". No need for interaction, though I guess it could be a bonus.

If you and your family tend to have a Windows computer turned on at relevant times, it is quite straightforward to send on-screen display messages using Event Ghost.

The gist of the setup is for Rule Machine to send preformatted message packets to EG, which can (among other possible actions) trigger an OSD text to flash.

I will admit this isn't the most straightforward methodology and really takes some setting up on the windows side (not to mention understanding EG scripting), but it is a fun thing to see throughout the day as my controller flashes which mode it's going into and who is arriving home, etc.

Do you have somethings like this in mind? https://lametric.com/en-US

The LaMetric works well with the Notification app once you have figured out the message format.

You could build one like this:

But its not an off the shelf solution....definitely doable though with what he shows you.
