Trying to add ZEN14 Outdoor Double Plug by Zooz (long range) through Android Hubitat app to my C8 and when you tell it to Add Device and then Add SmartStart Devices both my Samsung S24+ and my MotoG will display what might be a QR code scan screen for about 1/3 of a second before it proceeds every time to a screen listing other existing devices in some sort of edit mode. Nothing slows down that flash-by screen so it appears impossible to use the app to Include a SmartStart device. Between this frustration and Zooz ' instructions which refer you over to "Jeff's " github third party app ? download and a warning screen after I included the device earlier through a manual process with the C8 on Windows desktop only to be told that the mobile app won't handle this type of SmartStart device and it is totally frustrating ! Anyone else had this flash-by screen problem? It's occuring on both Samsung and Motorola mobiles.
last couple of ZEN20 LR devices I added worked. But here is the thing which helps me. Start with all the old devices deleted and the device you are going to add turned off or with no batteries. Add using smartstart taking an image of the QR code. It will add the device to the screen. Check that the LR box is Xed. Thats it. Then power the device up. Then I go to the PC and open the z-wave. The device is there ready to be named and assigned other options. At least that is how it worked for me.
