Android App not updating Hub Version

[This is a dup of what I posted 5 days ago in the thread about getting the icons updated in the Android app, but I think the core issue is as per below, so starting a new thread]

I updated the hub to the newest 2.3.9.164.
The new Android app is not updating the hub status- it still says hub is on 2.3.9.157.
What I've tried, after updating the hub, to resolve this:

  1. Closed the app and reopened it, same thing.
  2. Shut down and restarted the phone - it still says hub is on 2.3.9.157.
  3. Clicked "Connect to Hub" on the app and logged in again. It still says hub is on 2.3.9.157.
  4. Send commands from Android app to the hub, thinking maybe it needs forced communication. Commands are executed
  5. Waited to see if this is a function of time. It has now been 5 days and the Android app is still not updating.

How do I force the Android app to recognize the new hub version?

The reason I want the Android app to update the hub status, is that per another thread, that is needed for the dashboard lock icon to show the updated, corrected colors. When viewed via the web on a laptop, in the new easy dashboard, the lock shows up as green when locked, red when unlocked, which is the expected behavior. That does not happen in the Android app.

Equipment:
Hub: C7, on 2.3.9.164
Phone: Pixel 4a using Mobile App 2.0.2 (245)

You shouldn't have to, but clear the Hubitat app cache & data. You'll need to login again to the app, maybe then it will pull the updated version

@rxich Thanks.
On my Android, I went to Settings, Apps, Hubitat, and selected the new Hubitat App (with the green infill, rather than the old one with the white infill), then Storage & cache. The resulting screen confirms I'm in Hubitat 2.0.2. Then tapped "Clear Cache." Cache is now 0b. Then back to the Hubitat app, but there was no change.
THen I did the above again but this time tapped "Clear Data" (instead of Clear Cache). This time I had to log in again. Now the correct Platform version shows up.
Thanks!

Happy to help ! It's the least I can do for all the fantastic advice gained from hanging around here over the last 6 years...man time flies !

As posted above, following the above steps and tapping "Clear Data" will update the hub version settings in the app.

However, it seems I have to do this with every hub update. Right now my hub is on 2.3.9.193, yet the Android app still reports 2.3.9.164.

Is there any way to get the Android app to automatically update the hub version?
