Need help setting up my amazon fire hd tablet as a control panel by my front door. It was working before but now it says that it cannot connect to the server.

It's always easier to understand your situation if you post some pics and/or logs.
You might need to go to Hub owners - Hubitat , join the group and then you'll be able to post lots of them.
