I have a similar issue to this thread. I have been using the echo app in Hubitat for several years with no issues. Then this past year it stopped working. I have gone through the removal and re-add process to no avail. Is there a requirement to have the Hubitat cloud service to be able to use the echo app now? I have never needed remote access to the hub so I never paid for the service. To different posts have suggested logging in with cloud accounts to make it work again.
I don't think so, but not really sure. My Alexa/HE use has been "stable" for a while now, so I cannot offer much help here. Maybe others here have some insight.
Using the Amazon Echo Skill has always required the use of Hubitat's cloud. However, it is free. You do not need to pay for Remote Access to use Hubitat's Amazon Echo Skill.
