Am I going down the right path

So I saw a home assistant dashboard that I liked… now I use hubitat for everything except devices that aren't supported, then I use home assistant. However I usually link those back to hubitat and do 95 percent of my things in hubitat.

So while I have been using dashboard in hubitat for a while, I've only used basic tiles, thermostats etc. I isn't want to move to home assistant for dahaboards, even though they are much more customisable.

I've now tried to add a background of my house layout. Overlaying buttons for lights that are transparent when off, and semi transparent and yellow when on. Used some CSS script to hide labels and icons. I increase the grid size to the maximum before it started showing scroll bars. The tiles can't be made to fit perfectly because of thenlikitnin grid size.

I looked at other dashboard apps that are compatible with both Android and IOS (my wife's phone). Hd+ Dashboard looked ok except it arranges things at the top so that failed. It was too hacky to make it worth for me I felt. Couldn't find anything but the default hubitat dashboards after that for both systems.

Am I missing something that would be helpful to do this?

I build my layouts with Sweet Home 3D, and then use that as a background to overlay my device tiles where they are in the rooms. I use an image tile as the background, expanded out to cover the whole area, with css to set the z-index to a negative value so it is behind all other icons.
