Alternatives to Ring

I bought a ring alarm a few years back when I found HSM a bit cumbersome to arm and to get it to work reliably.
I had been using presence sensors to arm and disarm the system but that wasn't 100% reliable.
Also had issues with cheap sirens that kept dropping off.
And I didn't have a nice interface just inside the door to disable the alarm when the presence sensors inevitably failed.

Ring has been working very well for a long time but now I'm looking to do more things with it and there's limitations. And I'm looking at the bills and €10 per months for the last few year and for the next few years will be adding up to a big number. and I'm hoping to migrate to something else.

I'm looking for an alarm system that would integrate with Hubitat preferably locally. (I saw the Ring alarm integration and might start using that in the short terms).
I'd like to get notifications on my phone for when the alarm is arming, disarming and alarming.
I'd also like to be able to control lights and other devices of the alarm is alarming.
I'd like to be able to arm the system using presence detection and
I'd also like to have a physical keypad that I can control the alarm with when our phones die or act up.

perhaps for this next question it might be best to open a separate topic, but are there any good camera systems that work well with hubitat?

I'm based in Ireland so that might limit my options a little bit.

Thanks very much for any help

Camect is not inexpensive but there is a very nice (community) integration for it and it works well. It works with a wide variety of cameras and all storage is local so it fits well with the 'Hubitat philosophy".

There's no free tier with Ring in Ireland? I am using the ring unofficial integration with Hubitat and also using the Ring MQTT with Home assistant and have zero issue for many years now.
As for camera, I have Blue Iris and it's working great but I am eyeing Frigate. The AI is appealing and it's open source.

It doesn't appear to be available for sale in Ireland unfortunately but good to have it on my list potentially in the future.

There is a free level subscription available according to this. Ring Protect Plans
I'm on the plus plan at the moment.
According to this page https://support.help.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020893671-Arming-and-Disarming-Your-Ring-Devices-with-Alexa they suggest that for Alexa integration a subscription is required, so I had assumed that for the Hubitat - Ring integration a paid subscription might also be required

" * Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a subscription for digital notifications, in-app features, digital arming/disarming, and integration with other Ring, Echo, and third party products. Subscription sold separately. View ring.com/protect-plans for pricing and details. "

Alexa Works for me without a subscription.

Cellular backup is the other thing that the subscription enables/affords - something which I value. Which is a pain, as I swapped all my Ring cameras out so that is the only thing I am paying the subscription for now!

I guess that makes sense if you needed that feature especially if you travel often.

Cellular backup on the alarm is there for when the Wi-Fi goes down.
So it's only a backup and most people don't end up using it unless they have poor Internet.

Unfortunately you reminded me that I need to reach out to the lovely ring support team as my cellular backup doesn't work. Says I have signal but when I disconnect the Internet I lose access to my alarm from the app.
Worked the first time I lost Internet at home but didn't when I was in the middle of changing Internet and my house was offline for a day
