All Z-Wave Devices Missing From Z-Wave Details & Not Responding

Hello, All,

All of my z-wave devices disappeared from Z-wave details and are not responding, but they still are listed in the devices section. I tried a few reboots of the Hub and Z-wave repairs then reboots and no luck.

Thank You
Matt

Did you try shutting down the hub, disconnecting it from the power for 5 minutes then connecting it back?

I will try that now.

Thank You

That worked thank you.

You're welcome

Hi, I'm having the same problem, is there a reason for this, does anyone know, as its happening quite often, and its getting quite annoying

It’s happened to me twice in 6 months. Removing the power is the only thing that fixes it.

Happened to me last night; surprisingly this solution still works in 2020...

Last Wednesday (July 29th) all my Z-Wave devises disappeared, as the other examples in this thread.

Resetting HE, and repairing Z-Wave did not succeed in bringing them back.

Shutting down the hub, disconnecting for 5 minutes and reconnecting, brought them all back to normal status.

Thank you for a great advise. I was about to repair them all (aaarghh!).

This happened to me too during last week, I have upgraded the Hub too during that period. Tried the 5 minute off-power solution and it didn't work for me. My device list is still empty  I will try to restore to a previous version, unless someone has a better idea. Do we have a root cause?

It feels like my Z-wave radio is broken. According to one of my smart plugs, last report in date was Aug 28. I restored to a backup + version prior to this date and still all devices are missing. I would really like some help with this, as I tried to previously exclude a device and re-join it and I cannot seem to be able to do this either.

Ready to post an update on this. Took out the Z-wave stick and plugged into my PC. I'm scanning my network using Silicon Labs Z-Wave PC Controller. I have 5 Z-Wave devices in my home, however the stick reports 6. Device ID 7 doesn't exist, never did. Maybe this is what's throwing Hubitat off?

I removed it as failed with the tool, but I still can't include the missing wall plug. Still trying around with this stuff, but I'm still puzzled about what happened to get things to this state.

Z-Wave disappeared for me again...a shut down and remove stick sorted it out again...first time since April I think.

I fixed mine with the tool I mentioned above, I essentially set it as failed, then I was able to rejoin it. I have a more detailed write up I can share if you're interested.

This happen to me as well today. Had no communication with my z-wave devices. Did a reboot from the settings and after that no z-wave devices was present under a-wave details.
Shut down the hub and unplugged the power cord for a few seconds and after starting up the hub again, everything seems to be back to normal again.

This just happened to me too. Thanks so much for posting the fix, as I was starting to panic a bit.

This happened immediately after I did a Z-Wave repair. Perhaps it is related to some kind of instability crash with the Z-Wave Network in the hub?

This happened to me this afternoon. Its the first time its ever happened and I have no explanation for it unfortunately. I restored a backup that was made overnight and there was no change. I'm glad I found this thread. I performed a hub shutdown and removed power for 5+ minutes. After restoring power, the hub booted normally and normal operation is restored.
