Alexa will not turn group "Christmas Lights" on

Newbie here and just ran across my first weird issue,

I've created two groups, one Called "Outside Lights" which consists of three GE Z-Wave wall switches. Using the command "Alexa, Outside lights ON" or "Alexa, Outside lights OFF" works flawlessly.

I have a second group called "Christmas Lights" which consists of 4 Zigbee wall plugs, they register as eWeLink model: SA-003-Zigbee. I can operate them via the Group button in both Hubitat and the Alexa app, however when I give the command "Alexa, Christmas Lights ON" the response is "Christmas lights doesn't support that".

I removed the group and re-added it, still no joy..

What am I missing?

Thanks,

DaveinTN

Did you add the "group device" to Alexa, or make a group in the Alexa app. I do the first thing with most of what I share to Alexa and haven't had any issues.

Add the group to the Alexa app if you haven't already. Then use an Alexa Routine to control the lights. I found that Alexa "hears" better if you put your devices or groups in a routine.

Even though both groups were already pulled into Alexa via the Hubitat integration?

Won't there be two identical groups then?

Like I said, the first group works fine, the Christmas group doesn't. The only difference I see is that one consists of Z-Wave devices and the other one consists of all zigbee devices.

UPDATE

Since the group's automatically import via the integration I simply created two routines, one to turn off the group and one to turn on the group and it appears to be working.

Why this is necessary for the one group and not for the other is beyond me.

I completely forgot that I did this for my Christmas stuff. I haven't had to do it for anything else though.

As a test I created another group named "Patio Lights" and assigned the same zigbee plugs to it.
I was able to turn the new group on and off without creating any groups in Alexa.

This leads me to believe there are some key (Reserved?) words that Alexa has that conflict. "Christmas Lights" being one of them.
