Can someone walk me through how to get Alexa to speak if a contact sensor is left open after a certain time. I have tried to do it but I'm really lost tbh. I am away from the computer till Thursday so I won't be able to follow instructions till Thursday, but I can see through the app.

I use the method listed above by @BiGs , but you can also do it using an Alexa routine. If your contact is shared through the Amazon Echo skill you can create a Alexa routine that will say a phase you specify whenever that contact sensor opens or closes.
