Alexa Skill Integration Failing

My router died recently so had to replace it.

After that Hubitat would no longer work with Alexa.

I unlinked the Alexa skill thinking if I relinked it, that might pick things back up.

Unfortunately now I can’t link the skill at all. When I try it gets all the way to selecting my device, then just fails. There was a post on here from 2019 that had a few things to try but nothing seems to work.

That same post also gave a support email thing to try, but that is no longer working.

Long story short, I am posting a new help request vs necroing the old post to hopefully get help.

Lastly these are the things I have tried:
-Rebooting all the things (router, Hubitat, internet, etc)

  • Clearing cache on Alexa app
  • Tried different gmail logins (based in 2019 post)
  • Removed the Alexa app in Hubitat

Probably some more things I haven’t listed but just need help before my wife kills me when lights don’t come on when she asks Alexa.

Go into the alexa side, remove the hubitat skill. Reboot all your alexas. On hubitat side remove alexa/amazon integration from hubitat. Shut down hubitat and then power cycle.

Start alexa side of reinstalling hubitat skill, then do hubitat side...

  • Did you happen to set a Static IP address in the hub network settings at some point?

  • Are you certain you have internet access on the hub? Do other cloud based integrations work?

  • Did you try to go to Settings tab, Network Setup, then Network Test (top of the screen) and try to Ping Host amazon.com and hubitat.com?

I had same problem. Followed rlithgow1 instructions and Alexa Hubitat skill now works.
