Alexa + Plus update broke dimming

Is anyone else having an issue after the most recent Alexa + plus update? I can turn my zwave switches on and off just fine but I can no longer ask alexa to set the lights or fan to a specific level.

For example I used to say Alexa set the loft lights to 50%. Now when I try that get a message saying:

“This skill has not been upgraded to support the newest version of alexa. starting November 4th you will no longer be able to use this skill”

Sounds like the skill will need to be updated…? @bobbyD, is this something that can be validated?

First time I've heard. We will look into it. Thanks for your feedback.

I have Alexa + and that function seems to be working fine for me as of this morning. I tried "set bedroom light to "x" percent", and just "bedroom light to "x" percent" and checked on various lights and dimmers throughout the house. All seem to be working normally.

Thanks for looking into this! I’ll post back if anything changes on my side also.

Thanks for checking, I’ll double check all my settings within Alexa app as well. It’s a really odd issue.

I m using Alexa+ along with the official Hubitat Skill for Alexa. Still working fine to control my Zigbee fan controller via Alexa voice commands. Just another data point.

To help I just told mine to set bedroom lamp to 10 and it worked. Using HE Amazon echo skill and been on Alexa + since it first rolled out.

Finding out some interesting information. Posting here to help anyone else that might need a potential solution. Apparently the new Alexa + can perform diagnostic operations like looking on the sever backend and make changes to the devices themselves.

I asked her first if the Hubitat skill is compatable, she said yes. I then asked why she is giving me that message then. She replied that she found 3 duplicate "Loft Lights" Devices. This was not the case in the app and when I asked why I could not see them in the app she said it may only be visible on their (Amazons) backend. She offered to rename the offline entries as duplicates. The issue has since been resolved.

The only other issue I am experiencing now is that she is setting the fan speed as I requested but then saying the fan is offline. May have to try to disable and reenable that device. Hope this helps some one!

I'm getting constant messages from her saying she can't do something due to connection or whatever yet she does it. The Alexa Plus upgrade is a double edged sword. She's slow as molasses now but admittedly has some nice new features.

It still works fast for me with Alexa plus. No issues with dimming either. The only real change seems to be the voice, since I haven’t had time to play around with any other features.

I agree!

Update on the final fix:
This drove me nut and Amazon support was useless. In the end to find the duplicate device that are hidden in the app ask Alexa via text to first Identify what duplicate devices she see. She will provide you a list. Then ask he to rename these to duplicates to avoid confusion. Then ask her to move all the duplicates into a new group called duplicate. Now you will have a new group with all the hidden devices, from there you can click ok each one and delete them one by one.

I believe the origin of my issue is because my zwave switches were all attached to Vivint prior to switching to hubitat. When I disabled the Vivint skill some of the switches did not fully get removed for whatever reason and just to be extra annoying they hid themselves. Hope this helps someone down the road!
