Hi, when we send commands to Hubitat through Alexa, the confirmation “Ok” doesn’t happen until after the light completely turns on (say if it’s on a dimmer). Is there a way to change the timing of the acknowledgment? Back when we were on Wink, it sent the acknowledgement too soon and sometimes would need to wait for a bit before the light actually turned on or off after the acknowledgment. Hopefully there is a way to get it just right.
You have two choices in the Amazon Echo Skill:
- Respond immediately (turn on the toggle "Respond immediately without waiting for device").
- Respond when the device responds (turn off that toggle).
The first choice will give you a Wink-like behavior. The second choice is your current Alexa behavior.

Thanks! Much better. Hubitat is also SO fast that non-dimming lights still turn on/off before Alexa speaks. It wasn’t until I tested a dimmer that I could hear the change. Amazing!
