I'm using the Maker API to feed my diy dashboard. I want to monitor the battery levels of all devices that report battery level. Last week the battery in my Aladdin wall switch went dead. The Aladdin shows battery as one of the status variables it reports, but it always shows zero value. Is this a bug or just a tease?
Some openers report the battery level for the door sensor (not the button), but the ones that don't support that still always return a zero value from their API, and there's no way to tell the difference between the two responses.
So I report the value through my driver, but it may not actually be accurate or useful (which seems to be the case on your system).
