I got a C8 Pro Hub. I was able to set it up ok the first time. I messed with the cloud backup so I did a full reset but after a full reset the firmware updating step always fails and I can't proceed.
What firmware are you trying to update? The hub platform software? Can you share a specific set of steps to get there and the specific error message you see?
In general, make sure you don't have any unusual home network setups that might interfere (multiple VLANs, guest networks, customized firewalls, etc.). Certain switch brands also seem to work better if you set the network speed to fixed 100 instead of auto (or maybe vice versa) in Settings > Network Setup, though I don't think outright failure was one of these symptoms.
I am not sure. after a full reset, I go to go.hubitat.com then follow the guide. It didn't tell me what version of firmware it's trying to update.
ok, it looks like the hub is dead because it has blue light that's why firmware didnt update. let me try to do a hard reset.
it's resolved after I power cycled the hub. thanks. I was able to update firmware now and proceed
