Afero/Hubspace- Any progress on Hubitat integration

Home Depot in regularly adding new products to their Hubspace line of products powered by afero technology. Unfortunately,
these devices are WiFi connected and require the Hubspace app.
I understand that a basic integration has been accomplished through HomeAssistant, but I would rather see an integration with Hubitat such as the one with Hue Wiz.

Since their is a HomeAssistant integration, I presume that at least some of the API is available and documented. Would it be possible to develop an integration for Hubspace???

The only Hubspace device I have is used as a backlight for my TV, so integrating it with Hubitat is more of a nicety than a necessity, but as more devices become available, I am sure others would benefit as well.

AFAICT, there is no official publicly available API for HubSpace/Afero. The HA integration is reverse-engineered. And FWIW, it is cloud dependent - which really doesn’t matter in terms of developing an integration.

Given the lack of an official API, a Hubitat integration will require a community developer to take up the challenge. Hopefully, someone will.

Might also be a good project to get going using ChatGPT.

I figured that any Hubspace integration would be a community developer project rather than an official staff project. That is why I put it in the Developer section of the forum. I figure that if someone was smart enough to make it work with HA, that it could also be done for HE, assuming someone has the interest.

I know that Hubspace depends on the app, so it has to be cloud dependent, but integrations have been done for Phillips Wiz, TP Link Kasa and other cloud dependent devices, so there is some hope for Hubspace.

I can easily use Alexa to control my Hubspace light, but as other devices become available, it would be nice to have a community integration.
