Aeotec Z-wave Range Extender 6 - Unsure of Secure Pairing

I recently installed the above z-wave repeater to see if it would help resolve the drop pairing issue I'm having with my August Pro lock (regretting this purchase). I paired the repeater to the HE in secure mode (press button twice, blue light) it paired right away and when I check the device details I see this:

Which says to me that it paired in secure mode. When I check the z-wave network details, I see this:

Which is saying that the device is S0 unsecured. My question is, which one is correct? Is the device paired securely or unsecurely?

The device did pair securely, but with the worst type of security... S0 is a secure connection that uses close to 3 times the bandwidth. S2 is the better security, but I am not sure it is possible with Aeotec Z-Wave Range Extender 6...

When there is no security, it will say β€œNone”.

Ah ok. Thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty sure I'm switching the lock over to a Yale zigbee. I'm done with the hassle of this thing. Cheers.

Aeotec RE6 can only do S0, not S2. Here is the Z-Wave conformance statement.

I replaced mine with Ring Alarm Extender v2 devices.
