Aeotec TriSensor Won't Properly Change to No Motion Status

I've read a lot of threads here about people having the same problem with these, and I'm hoping someone has a fix. I've tried virtually everything I can find that others have attempted (giving it 24 hours to settle, decrease the sensitivity setting, press configure after saving the option settings, etc). My sensor came with firmware v2.09, which I have now upgraded to the most recent on the Aeotec site, v2.21. Still no change. I'm also running the most current Hubitat firmware, 2.2.6.140, as I had also read there was a hotfix some time ago that resolved this. Since the sensor always believes there is motion, of course the lights it controls never go out. I've gone back to my GE/Jasco portable sensor in the interim. I've never had a problem with it, but I certainly prefer the mounting option (recessor) for the Aeotec.

Any help is always appreciated.

I have had this happen with 1 of 3 of my Aeotec sensors. Only thing that worked for me was to pull the battery. Only happened one time (so far - about 6 months usage), and has not happened again.

One of my trisensors does constantly trigger presence with no reason. Tried everything with no success.

I now only use it to report luminance.

I've currently got two more on order. I'll be interested to see if their behaviour is different. This one is brand new, although it's been sitting on the shelf for several months. I ordered it and then never found time to install it. Now that I'm renovating the basement, I want to install a couple of these in ceiling tiles. I sure hope I can get this resolved. They are kind of pricey paperweights.
