Aeotec Range Extender 7

anyone know where I can find these in stock?>

Seems that their shipping has been interrupted. The 6's are just as good if you need one right away. I have 3. Having problems with your mesh?

They are great repeaters.
The Aeotec Repeater 6 has a 500 series zwave radio.
The Aeotec Repeater 7 has a 700 series zwave radio.

They would be great, but no one can get them. I waited for weeks and finally bought some 6's. There's not much that uses the new chip yet and I'm not actively adding to my mesh, so maybe I settled?

The Ring Range Extender seems to be another option.

There are community based drivers for both 1st and 2nd gen.

I think the V2 is a 700 series?

No harm in getting something you need now. I just wanted to point out the differences as the information is good to know before making a purchase or for those that stumble across it later. That way you can be happy with whatever decision you make.

I think the 7 also has the ability to act as a pseudo night light does the 6?

No. the 6 only flashes whe something bounces through it. No night light.

Correct. The Ring extenders also have built in batteries so they can be used for power failure detection. aka - automate turning off the lame bulbs that default to on if the power blips.

Only $25, too, which seems pretty reasonable to me.
