I am using the Aeotec Door/Window Sensor 7 with the Aeotec Door/Window Sensor 7 Series driver. Open/close events are reliable. I see a difference in the log files.

The device log does not show the battery status updates.
The door being monitored may not be used for a days, even weeks. I thought that at least the battery report would occur daily which would at then let me know the device is online. Since the contact is part of the security system it is important to me to know the status of the device.
I actually have 2 of these sensors, both work great but I would never know if the battery died or even if the sensor is off line.
Is there another way to check the status of the contact.
