I have two Sylvania 73741 lights that are on a dumb switch. I have put the lights on the Advanced Zibee RGBW Driver. My wife has requested that if she cycles power with the dumb switch can the light revert to 100%. Unfortunately I havent figured that out yet. The driver has the functionality to have the light turn on after power cycle, but the lights revert to the minimum brightness setting. Can the driver be updated to have a brightness setting for power cycle?
That driver doesn’t have that as an option. However, you could also build a rule that sets it to 100% when it is turned on. Would that work?
Sebastien, I created a basic rule that would turn the brightness of the lights to 100% when power is cycled via the dumb switch. The problem I run into now is that the Hubitat isn't registering that the lights are on when power is cycled. So, the brightness isn't adjusting when power is cycled.
Any other suggestions?
Oh… Hmmm… Is an event generated on the device after the dumb switch is toggled back on?
So, I checked the event log and its not logging any event in power failure state or power cycled state. I also enabled debug loging and its not registering any data in either state as well.
Ah, there would need to be something that generates an event. Otherwise, Hubitat doesn’t know that power was removed or fed to the device…
