Hi, I have a C7 running 2.3.9.166
I created a hub variable of type number, and I wanted to add it an existing ez dashboard, so I could change the value. I gave it a connector type of variable.
I have some boolean variables on this dashboard, with connector type switch.
Can someone remind me how to add a variable to the dashboard? When I try to add it, the new variable doesn't show up on my list of devices.
Your screenshot shows a connector of type Variable, not Switch. You'll need to remove that and re-create it as a supported type (such as Switch) if you want to do this. Otherwise, while this might happen for Easy Dashboard eventually, Hubitat Dashboard can work directly with hub variables (no connector needed) if you wanted an alternative.
Thanks, I'll switch it to a Hubitat Dashboard so I can use a variable.
