I am trying to add a z wave plug tomy hubitatbut it does not show up on the list when I go to skills? I went to the alexa app but it does not find it either. I already have 7 devices on amazon alexa.
On your HE web interface go to Apps > Amazon Echo Skill
Add the device to that list and press done, it should show up in Alexa within a few seconds.

Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest. I am new to HE but have had smartthing for years and I am slowly migrating to HE. I appreciate your patience and I am sure the us beginners are a pain.

Welcome to Hubitat. I migrated over from SmartThings about 3 years and I have to admit it took me a while to notice the "Documentation" link right there at the bottom of every HE page.
I tried clicking on that and then searching for "Alexa" and got this link which walks you through the entire process of integration with Amazon Echo.
Great article in the first link. For anything that's built-in the docs are actually quite good. And you did well to post here in https://community.hubitat.com/ where thousands of true enthusiasts are happy to help. But, sometimes you want immediate answers, and most of them can be found in either Documentation or Community. Cheers!
