$84.95 For a Lutron triple pico stand?

Decided I needed a triple pico stand, decided I could do something nicer than a plastic stand (cheaper too!)

Are they attached or resting there?

The pico has a little stick on back that can be slid off (think french cleat). The ledge is there so I’m just not relying solely on the adhesive

Yep, nice job.

@rob121 Did you make or buy it? Might get one of those for my desk too!! Very nice.

Very nice, rob.

Same question. I am assuming you made this?

Is is hollow, or solid?

I have some hickory 1X4 cutoffs sitting here and I think this might be a good way to use it up.

Made it, glued 3 pieces together and then cut off at an angle and stained. Whole thing took 10 minutes without drying time.

Just thought 84.95 for holding 3 picos was absurd.

Agreed. If there is one thing about Lutron that grinds my gears is the price gouging for accessories. Even as a dealer, wholesale prices are ridiculous.

Another example is the Sonos/audio pico’s. The regular lighting ones are $14.99 but the audio version is $39.99 and they are the exact same except for the icons. I know you can use the standard ones for audio so that tells you a lot about the situation.

Agreed. I will say though in defence, I suspect that they make so many fewer audio picos that there are extra costs to print them with those icons in small runs. Having said that I’d expect 10-20% more and not 120%

Almost like they don't want to make them or something. Same with custom engraving.

I imagine something like this:

They send old Fred, the 70 year old guy who has worked there for 30 years, over to a machine that doesn't work right, and takes an hour to setup with Fred grumbling about it the whole time.
