2nd water sensor will not report

Installed a second Tuya * manufacturer: _TZ3000_2wcynpml

  • model: TS0207 sensor but it will not report wet/dry.

First sensor works fine.

Using Tuya NEO Coolcam Zigbee Water Leak Sensor by kkossev.

Tried 2 different TSO207 with same effect.

Puzzled....

Did you try pairing it again to the hub?
Is it C-8?
Anything in the live logs, if you remove the sensor battery and then put the battery back?
What type the battery is?

C-8, Multiple pairing scenarios, AAA batteries, resets.
Tried a tweak to your driver with no results.

Afraid to completely remove your driver as working sensor is watching a cranky/critical sewer line that tends to clog.
Tied to an Alexa routine that blows horns and announces a clog everywhere on the system.

Need a Zigbee sensor with attached cable/contacts to lower in pipe and tank.

Most of the TS0207 water sensors work with the HE inbuilt "Generic Zigee Moisture Sensor". Have you tried it?

You don't need to uninstall the custom driver, just manually change the driver to the one above and obligatory pair the device again to the hub.

I could not find any information for this TS0207 _TZ3000_2wcynpml device, it is not supported yet in Home Assistant.. The only reference is in SmartThings forum, and it worked there by just adding the fingerprint to a generic driver, i.e. nothing special / non standard with this device.

Looking at the debug logs, I don't see an IAS enrollment request or answer from the device.'
Can you try adding this to the configure() :

cmds += zigbee.enrollResponse() + zigbee.readAttribute(0x0500, 0x0000)
Summary

Should look like this:

Pair the problematic sensor again to HE.

Update: The change above is in the latest dev.branch version 1.1.1 - you can update it using the Import button from HE code editor:

Tried every water sensor in HE with no luck.

Removed, Updated driver, Discovered, never did indicate wet on device page. Appears to send on first dip in water then never resets.

It appears this sensor is going to trigger the Aggravation Switch which will be result in it's batteries being removed before being tossed in trash.

Apparently I have a solution for the sensors....

Installed a C-7 as a secondary and all 3 sensors with your drivers and the generics work fine.

Thank you for your help.

That's what I do as well for some problematic new Zigbee 3.0 devices.
Do not retire your old C-7 hubs yet! : )
