[2.4.2.119] HomeKit Controller -> Ecobee Issues

Just bring it over from Home Assistant using HADB.

This is exactly my current setup which works very reliably for years.

I do this as well. This was the actual reason I stood up Home Assistant in the first place. (Well, this and the My Subaru app integration)

Same

That assumes that you have or desire to have Home Assistant setup.

Home Assistant happens to be very helpful.
Thank to HA I was able to eliminate many cloud-based integrations and replace them with 100% local control. In my case - no clouds are welcome.

I don’t doubt that is true, but another environment to build and maintain would have to offer some kind of exceptional capabilities that I can’t get with Hubitat.

... and this is exactly a case.

I guess those “exceptional capabilities” are not ones I can’t live without.

I came up through the XTension, X-10, Vera, Vera+, route to Hubitat. Had HA been in my glide path, the answer might have been different.

An luck with “set away” and “resume” reverse engineering?

It's on the list of possible future enhancement, but at this time, we don't have a time-frame when the work will be completed.

For Ecobee separate temperature sensors (the white ones), when paired Hubitat created a child device for each, with the driver 'HomeKit Temperature Sensor'.
Eventually I get error messages on the logs for those devices (currently running on version 2.4.3.149):

java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke method toDouble() on null object on line 28 (method parse)
