[2.4.1.157] Room lighting activator displays ? in dashboard

I set up a new Room lighting shade instance. The activator displays a "?" in the dashboard instead of a shade. I have several similar activators on the same dashboard that display correctly. Deleting, starting over and rebooting: no change. Comparing the activators; they appear to all be configured identically. The only difference seems to be the version of the hub they were set up under. All three of the below tiles are Room lighting shade activators. The activator does function correctly, only the tile image is incorrect.

Configured in the RL app?

That would be a good start, but for Dashboard display, what really matters is "Current States" on the devcie detail page (or the template you're using if that's not what you meant above). You've got to be missing something it's looking for. Running a command that is likely change this, like Set Position, on the activator would be a good way to try to address that. But you'll have a better idea once you look at the states (or share them here).

I have numerous Room Lighting activators or various dashboards. This is the first time I've had an issue with one displaying incorrectly. And my thought is one of the last two hub updates is messing with it.

That doesn't tell me if you were looking at the app or the device, which as you'll see from the rest of my post, is why I asked. I already saw it was RL-related.

The question was what is different between the two devices. Since you only provided one, I can't say. But the "windowShade" attribute seems likely since "position" is there. Running a related command as above may still help.

Setting position from both the activator device page and from the dashboard works correctly. I set this up with a single shade to troubleshoot when it was misbehaving with something more complex. It doesn't resolve the display image. FYI I also tried changing the selected shade(s) and set up the app from scratch a couple of times after reboots. I'm inclined to rule out operator error

That's not what I was asking.

And that's not what I'm saying.

The only thing that is going to help see what's going on is to share what I asked for above. This would be the "Current States" section of the devcie detail page for each device, the one that is displaying correctly and the one that isn't. (This is assuming they are both using the same tile template.)

@bertabcd1234 I have ten of these devices, all are using "Room lights activator shades" The newly created one is the only one with display issues.

Bedroom shades activator displaying correctly.

SL door activator, displaying "?"

Did you accidentally provide the same screenshot twice? I'm unsure how either would be working [EDIT: well, they should still work--I just mean the icon]. You're missing the "Window Shade" (or "windowShade") attribute in both. Run the "Open" or "Close" command on the activator device to populate that once, then Dashboard should be happy.

(That being said, it should really do this on its own with the tilt or position commands, too -- but I don't see anywhere where that happens.)

Thank you! Interesting, Open/Close resolved it. I normally only use set position either from a button controller (pico remote) or the slider from a dashboard page. I've apparently used open.close on the other shade activators somewhere in the past when initially setting them up. The image for the Bedroom shades states, that works is correct. Selecting Open for that activator enabled the window shade state as well.
