Hi,
I use Virtual Shades and Rule Machine to limit opening of the physical shades. Since v2.4.1, this no longer works. I can still open and close the shades using the real driver, but doing an "Open" or "Set Position" on the virtual shade is no longer triggering my rule.
I noticed that "Set Position" has "NaN" in it's field and I'm wondering if this is the reason why.
I see what's causing the NaN thing, and it could be related to your problem, though it seems to me like it should sort itself out after the transition time you have specified in the device preferences. Can you confirm if that's not the case and what driver you're using? (I was looking at "Virtual Shade.")
That being said, the fix for this should be in the next release or so, so just waiting to try again until then also works!
Yes, I'm using the device driver "Virtual Shade". Waiting for the transition time (10 seconds) doesn't seem to fix it.
I've just updated to 2.4.1.157. Will see if that makes a difference.
Great news! I updated to 2.4.1.157 and it's all come good.

I still have a problem with virtual window shade device not triggering rules in Rule Machine, as of 2.4.1.174. The problem is "opening" and "closing" does not show up in the shade status but rather in "position" value. This only happens when I set the shade to transition all the way to "open" or "closed". If one sets a position other than 0% or 100%, then the moving process gets reflected both in "position" and status variables. Unfortunately I use a relay to actuate my patio roof without a position sensor so I can only set it to fully open or fully closed. Now the trigger only works if I change the triggering value from "closing" to "closed" , and there is a delay obviously because of this
Ah, yes, there is a similar problem for the Open and Close commands that was not addressed like the previous problem with Set Level/Set Position was. Next build.
