[2.4.0.151] Aqara weather sensor - crazy humidity values [C7]

@mike.maxwell

Seeing ridiculous humidity reports using the built-in driver; I have six such sensors, three of which using the built-in driver, this is the only one is behaving this way.

I will switch it to the community driver but it's probably the sensor misbehaving; perhaps the event value could be min/maxed (it's a percentage...) or rejected when out of range ?

Also this driver never sends out battery events after initial pairing and the battery level is always 100% on pairing, even when I pair it with a battery known to be low.

Perhaps if you would classify said readings as "insane"... :sweat_smile:

Can you post the specific model?

Sure.

Switching to the community driver revealed the battery is in fact depleted (last device reports 0% / 2.76V) which likely explains the weird value. Again, built in driver never reports battery.

@mike.maxwell

So the community driver does not emit these weird values somehow.

I went back to the system driver and turned on debug logging:

Turns out when this happens the temp is weird too (-100C) and the humidity seems to always be 654% when it goes wrong.

Looks like a parsing error, no?

Can you DM me the actual text?, that way I don't have to type in all those strings!, thanks
